I mentioned this in my post about our P-Rod visit. Peep it, it now features Koston and Kobe Bryant.

Social Light Sounds Press Release:
Remember the days when underground Hip Hop singles were found only on vinyl? The classic 12 inch format with an A side and a B side. Dirty versions to blast through your stereo, clean versions for your mom’s favorite radio station, instrumentals for Emcees to rock over, and acapellas for DJs to cut and mix. We miss those days too!
For all the Hip Hop nostalgics, Social Light Sounds and The Butcher’s Block have teamed up to release an exclusive “Digital 12 Inch” as a Free Download. It features three new tracks from Nite People’s lead vocalist E The Real and Massachusetts producer Paul Mighty. This release includes everything you would expect from a 12 inch single on vinyl. Instrumentals, acapellas, dirty, and clean versions.
Side A kicks off with the title track “Small Talk”, where E breaks down why small talk gets on his nerves and the mindless dialogue people are subjected to in everyday conversations. Paul provides an up tempo beat laced with hard funk, steady drums, and a psychedelic guitar riff. The second track of Side A is called “Key To Success”. E brings a relentless flow over a vintage style of production from the Mighty one. Raw social commentary and witty wordplay rides over a sharp break beat while the scratchy horns blare out of the speaker.
The B side includes a guest appearance from Worcester, MA Emcee Spit Supreme (Rawkus 50, All Elements) who goes back and forth with E The Real in a never seen before bar structure called “4, 2 1’s”. The beat rides smooth and complements the lyrics creating a classic soundscape. Guaranteed to make your neck hurt!
Now that the 12 Inch is digital, blast the dirty version in your iPod, include the clean version in your mother’s next podcast, freestyle over the instrumentals on your lab top, or remix your own versions. Enjoy!
Peep E The Real doing his thing….
Frank recently hosted the Boston leg of Sneaker Pimps with Dave Jeff of Phli. While they held it down on stage I made the rounds back stage and found my way into an empty green room or two to sample the artist beers to make sure they were cold and fresh.

Rules are very clear at the House of Blues. Glad I caught this on the way in because head walking was def on my agenda

Frank the Butcher bar certifies the Yellow Lobsters…..

Unfortunately even with the Dew Tour in town for the weekend this was the closest I got to capturing some footage of an “action sport”… Big ups to my homey Kurtis Colamonico for the shot that helped me turn the urinal into a puke quarter pipe.
Rock the Bells came through Boston and Danny Boy invited The Butcher and I to come check out the show. Here are some flicks of LCN during their set…. I cant remember the last time I seen this many happy white people in one place!

Anyone who is into Jordans that also got to witness the man play in the shoes cant help but get a bit nostalgic when Jordan re-release’s a retro. I remember anticipating what the next J was going to look like, or what the all star or playoff colorway was going to look like long before things leaked months in advance on the net. I remember watching classic match ups and associating those games with the shoe he had on. I have to say that I was a little scared when I heard about the Jordan mash ups when the rumors of the Spizike (now my all time favorite Jordan) surfaced. I have to say the 60+ is a nice follow up to the Spizike. A combination of the the shoes Michael wore in games he scored 60 points or more in.
4/20/86 Bulls vs Celtics: 63 Pts – AJ I
3/4/87 Bulls vs Pistons: 61 pts – AJ II
4/16/87 Bulls vs Hawks: 61 pts – AJ II
3/28/90 Bulls vs Cavs: 69 pts – AJ V
1/16/93 Bulls vs Magic: 64 pts – AJ VII

60+
This is probably Jordans most memorable 60+ game to me. I remember all the hype surrounding Shaq at the time, and the kid I used to ball with every day saying how Jordan was “done” when Shaq gets a hold of him.
Sneaker Pimps came through Boston on Saturday and I had an opportunity to host with my man Dave Jeff of Phli. Big shout to Peter, Shae, Ron and the rest of the Sneaker Pimps crew for putting together a great show. My homeboy Stalley killed it, J Cole buried it and the Clipse resurrected it and killed it again! Shouts to my co-d Chedda who consistently holds me down.
As part of the Verizon “Text” contest, we agreed to give the winner 1 of the most exclusive Nike SB Concepts Yellow Lobsters… Game over. I wore mine that night and they’ll probably never be seen again.
