La Coka Nostra Long Board!
Let me start by saying that hanging with Danny Boy makes me spend money I don’t have. I am already looking at watches and I don’t mean G-Shocks. Will I be surfing next? Got to get my swim game up first!!

Walking from my car to the entrance of the Comcast Center I bumped into one of my brother’s friends. My brother Franco passed away in 05 and is greatly missed.

I like watching movies at home. Given the current economic times, it’s not always possible to take yourself, your girlfriend or wife, or even your whole family, out to see a movie in the theaters. So, why not rent a tried and true classic for a few bucks, sit down make some popcorn, and entertain yourself on the cheap?
What I’m watching this weekend, is the 1958 B&W classic, Touch of Evil, directed by and starring Orson Wells, Charlton Heston and Janet Leigh. It’s a story about corruption and murder in a Mexican border town. The film is probably most famous for it’s tracking/crane shot, that kicks off the beginning of the film. No cuts or edits for the first 3 1/2 minutes. They ain’t making movies like this anymore. Check the clip out above. So if you haven’t seen the film yet and you like what you see here, do yourself a favor and go rent it.
The IAM1 Amsterdam Journey from Nalden on Vimeo.
As the next installment in their IAM 1 campaign with Nalden, Nike Sportswear dropped a video, directed by Sartoria. It features the sites and people of interest, in my second favorite city in the world: Amsterdam. So I had to post it here. The video is dope and the Air Maxim 1, in my opinion, is one of the best shoes released in a long time. Can’t wait for the blue ones to drop here in the states.
The homie Wale was in town today and popped in for a visit. Peep the newly released “letter” fitted that drops tomorrow at Concepts. Wale’s debut album coming soon.

The Live Strong series continues with the Futura (edit: for the love or money) FLOM dunk release. We have received our third Brook Saddle in conjunction with the shoe drop which is Futura. Next up Busy P.

La Coka Nostra’s album A Brand You Can Trust, hits retail tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14th after a long long wait. La Coka released a mix tape recently, The Audacity of Coke, and if it’s anything like the album, expect it to be one of the best hip-hop albums to release this year. It features the likes of Jaysaun (a local Boston MC), Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, not to mention Raekwon and U-God. Follow the link to a free download of the mix tape, and make sure you pick up the album tomorrow. Enjoy.

I’ve been building with the Burn Rubber crew for a minute and these cat’s don’t play (and have Detroit on lock!). Owners of BR, Rick and Ro, have ill ideas but more importantly have the will and determination to bring them to life. Peep their new project below. These are my peoples and the watch is fire. Check their new site here.

Burn Rubber Sneaker Boutique in Metro Detroit has done it again! Known for their exclusive sneakers and apparel, will soon be adding the Burn Rubber Timepiece Collection to their repertoire. Burn Rubber is recognized for their pristine, innovative ideas and this is no different with the first model in their timepiece collection: The Woodward. The name, The Woodward, was inspired by Woodward Avenue a major street in Metro Detroit which was named after esteemed Judge Augusta Woodward in 1805 after Detroit burned down. Burn Rubber recognizes the rich culture and history in Metro Detroit and will name the models in the collection after major streets and avenues in the city. Detroit was once a well-respected city and pioneer of the auto industry and Burn Rubber is working to continue to be well respected and a pioneer in the sneaker/street-wear culture of the Mid-West. This automatic, water resistant timepiece was created with close attention to detail from the weight of the watch to the fine print on the face. The buzz has already started in the city and pre-orders have begun to come in for the release of the watch in September of 09. Being that this Woodward model will be the first timepiece out of the collection, it will be the most exclusive, limited to 50 pieces.
