Los Angeles Chronicles Part 1
Let me start by saying that sometimes I am not the best at avoiding stress. I take on a lot and in the process of trying to complete it all, I go into that unpleasant “mode” that I don’t like. Haven’t had a real vacation in a while (or ever) but have had days here and there during business trips that I sometimes find glimpses of peace.
I was invited to the Adidas event in Los Angeles launching the line designed by James Bond and Greg Lucci for David Beckham (yeah… that David Beckham). At first I didn’t think I could pull it together in time but I did and even convinced Deone’ Pointe’ to come along. Chris and Billy, my guys from Pilot, lined up a trip to LA to meet with clients so we coordinated our schedules so we could hang.
First thing off the plane Chris wanted us to head out to Hermosa Beach to go to this little Mexican spot for some food that was a little more authentic than the Boarder Cafe in Harvard Sq. A gang of fish tacos later… I agreed.
Hermosa was fucking heaven. I was truly taken back by the beach, the sky, the board walk, the water, the view, the weather, the houses and the atmosphere, that I instantly began planning my move from Mass. I haven’t felt that peaceful in a while. Didn’t feel any work stress, just felt tranquility.
I put a lot of things in perspective that day which will develop into decisions then into actions in the near future. So stay tuned.

The sky looked crazy right before the flight out.

Delicious… and I went in on seconds too

We go all the way to California and find a Red Sox / Patriots bar. Deon was pleasantly surprised.

So I put a down payment on this modest beach house just in case.

Only dudes on the beach with jeans on… and shoes
